Matches scoring rulebook version 1.
How scoring works
Your squad
- Pick 15 players within a 1000-credit budget: 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards.
- You can have at most 3 players from any one club.
- Each gameweek, 11 players start in a valid formation: 1 goalkeeper, 3 to 5 defenders, 2 to 5 midfielders and 1 to 3 forwards. The other 4 sit on your bench in the order you choose.
Match points
Your players score points for what they do in real matches.

The fine print on match points
- Minutes count regulation time only. Stoppage time is not counted, so a player who comes off at 60+2 has played 60 minutes. "More than 60 minutes" means at least 61.
- Clean sheet: the player must play more than 60 minutes, and their team must concede no goals while they are on the pitch. A player taken off before their team concedes keeps the clean sheet.
- Goals conceded only count while the player is on the pitch. A player who is sent off keeps counting goals conceded until the end of the match, and can lose a clean sheet that way.
- Assists are as recorded by our match data provider, so they can sometimes differ from other fantasy games.
Performance bonus
Every player who plays gets a Match Rating based on the stats that matter most for their position, such as goals and shots for forwards, or saves and clean sheets for goalkeepers. Attacking returns and overall match performance drive the rating.
- A strong all-round performance earns up to +3 bonus points.
- Players on the pitch for less than 60 minutes get a smaller bonus.
- The highest-rated player in each match gets +1 extra.
Captain and vice captain
Your captain scores double points. If your captain doesn't play, your vice captain scores double instead.
Automatic substitutions
If a starter plays no minutes, a bench player who did play comes in automatically, in your bench order, as long as your formation stays valid. Goalkeepers are only replaced by your bench goalkeeper.
Transfers
You get 1 free transfer per gameweek. Each extra transfer costs 4 points from that gameweek's score.
Your gameweek score
Gameweek score = points of your 11 counted players (captain × 2) − 4 per extra transfer
- A player's points are their match points plus any performance bonus, added up across all their matches in the gameweek.
- Each player's gameweek total is rounded to the nearest whole point, with halves rounding up.
- Scores are confirmed once every match in the gameweek has finished and the stats are final.
Examples
Midfielder: starts, plays 90 minutes, scores 1, assists 1, has 2 shots on target, team wins 2–0
Start +2, 75+ minutes +1, win +1, goal +6, assist +4, shots on target +1, clean sheet +2 = 17 points, plus any performance bonus.
Goalkeeper: starts, plays 90 minutes, makes 4 saves and saves a penalty, team wins 1–0
Start +2, 75+ minutes +1, win +1, clean sheet +5, saves +2, penalty save +6 = 17 points, plus any performance bonus.
Defender: comes on in the 20th minute, team wins 1–0 with no goals conceded
Substitute +1, win +1, clean sheet +5 = 7 points, plus any performance bonus.
